Essential Oils and Some of Their Uses No comments yet
Essential oils are the concentrated part of a plant after all of the water has been distilled away. There are various ways to distill the water out of the plant including steam distillation and by crushing the plant under high pressure. What remains are the oils in the plant and these are called the essential oils. These oils can then be used as either flavorings or, more frequently, for therapeutic uses. Sometimes these essential oils from different plants are mixed together to form a recipe to help with healing or for aromatherapy.
One pure essential oil that is used for therapeutic uses is tangerine essential oil. This essential oil is used for dietary, aromatic or topical use and is used as a calming agent. Tangerine essential oil is an excellent oil to help lift the spirits and bring about a sense of security. Tangerine essential oil is also highly enriched with the antioxidant d-limonene which is good for your health.
Another popular oil is sun breeze essential oil. Sunbreeze essential oil is a combination of three tree oils. These three ingredients are Cassia, Menthol and Camphor. Everyone knows what menthol and camphor smell like by their minty smell. Sunbreeze essential oil has been known to help to alleviate headaches, minimizes sleepiness, and help to promote brain activity. In addition, application of this oil will help to minimize muscle tension in the neck and reduce motion sickness. It can be applied directly to the skin or used in aromatherapy where the person inhales the aroma of the oil.
